Song: If Only I Had Wings

I reached out for the moon and saw a falling star
Just a passing angel, for that is what you are,

If only I had angels wings,
Then I could fly away with you,
We could share our dreams,
And make them all come true,
Yes, we could share our dreams, and make them all come true.

Chorus:
I would fly to where you are,
If only I had wings like you.
I would chase the falling star, across the skies of blue,
I would dance beyond the clouds,
And reach out in my dream, then fly to where you are
Fly to where you are.

We could chase the rainbow,
Each time that heaven cried,
Raindrops fall like a tears,
For love has never died,
We float above the clouds,
And across the heavenly blue,
Looking into your eyes,
I’m whispering I love you
I look into your eyes and whisper I love you

Chorus

Fly to where you are.

Song: Let the Tears Flow

(George)
Lift your paper, take a pen,
Find the words, don’t let them hide,
Let the tears flow fast and free,
Show the hurt that burns inside,
Find a start, find the will,
Let your courage find an end,
Write your story clear and true,
Let the ocean read the words you send.

Chorus
Let the tears flow, let the river know,
Let your heart take wings and fly,
Let the tears flow, let the river know,
Let your heart take wings and fly.
Let it fly.

Stare into the flowing mirror,
There’s a hero broke and torn,
Who found the strength, and found the words
Who found the will to carry on.
Touch the river, share it’s secrets,
Let it wash away your pain,
Let it cleanse your broken heart,
And give you back your life again.

Chorus

(Erin Boyle)
You can be all you want to be,
You can see all you want to see.
If you let, let love wash away

Chorus
(George & Erin)

(George)
Let it fly.
Let it fly.

Song: Grace

Lyrics adapted from the Irish Song Lyrics Page

As we gather in the chapel here in old Kilmainham Jail
I think about these past few weeks, will they say we’ve failed?
From our school days, they have told us we must yearn for liberty,
Yet all I want in this dark place is to have you here with me.

Oh Grace just hold me in your arms and let this moment linger,
They’ll take me out at dawn and I will die,
With all my love I’ll place this wedding ring upon your finger,
There won’t be time to share our love, for we must say goodbye.

Now I know it’s hard for you my love to ever understand.
The love I bare for these brave men, my love for this dear land,
But when Padraic called me to his side down in the GPO,
I had to leave my own sick bed, to him I had to go

Oh, Grace just hold me in your arms and let this moment linger,
They’ll take me out at dawn and I will die,
With all my love I’ll place this wedding ring upon your finger,
There won’t be time to share our love, for we must say goodbye.

Now as the dawn is breaking, my heart is breaking too,
On this May morn as I walk out, my thoughts will be of you,
And I’ll write some words upon the wall so everyone will know,
I loved so much that I could see his blood upon the rose.

Oh, Grace just hold me in your arms and let this moment linger,
They’ll take me out at dawn and I will die,
With all my love I’ll place this wedding ring upon your finger,
There won’t be time to share our love, for we must say goodbye
There won’t be time to share our love, for we must say goodbye

Hierarchy Blues

Song: Hierarchy Blues

Yep, the things we see before us, are they always what they seem?
Our values of today, they evaporate like steam.
The cares that always cause so many long and sleepless nights,
Slowly creep in an’ wrap around as deaden morning lights

Every breath apart of life and its always our doin’
We take for granted every day, it company all aboard,
That daily life we deem is normal can make a man a kin
The more that we believe we own the more we’ll lose in everything.

Chorus
We’re lost so deep within ourselves because, we never ask.
Without our menial tasks in life we fall like badly stacked up cards.
Well the dealer rents accordingly from a king down to a two.
And he keeps his cents for himself, while we play the hierarchy blues.

Suffice to say that we’re still here, so this must be the way.
Alternatives will only cloud, our selfish sunny way.
But still we cling, we clutch, we judge, does it make us feel alive?
We cheat our fellow man so bad, there but for the Grace of God, go I

Chorus

And meet all others at your peril and believe all that you want,
Condescend to your heart’s content, ‘til your face is old and wrought,
‘Cause generations come and go; you’re nothing but the same,
Your high and mighty self portrait with fill-like human heart of shame.

Chorus

Halifax Town

Song: Halifax Town

My Catherine the hardest thing that I found,
Was to board that great ship that was Canada Bound,
The hector at sail from our own rugged shore,
My family and country to see nevermore.

Our crops were destroyed and our cattle dispersed,
Their punishment severe, well planned and rehearsed,
With cold-blooded cruelty and hearts filled with hate,
Reckless and lawless they delivered our fate.

Chorus
With the wind cutting through me, I’m surrounded by tears,
We all tell the same stories of torture and fear.
In Halifax Town we should dock any day,
But my hearts with my family and where they now lay.

Now our only crime was to fight and defend,
Our own native Scotland our land ‘til the end
The plan of the crown was to scatter the clans,
To kill and betray and possess all the lands.

Chorus

And they forced us with famine and torture to run,
To leave our own country and never return
They denied us our culture, our language, our dress,
They’ve taken the land where our ancestors rest.

They murdered you all when they burned down our home,
I fought, but in vain, now I’m left on my own,
Now I’ve sailed all the ocean a new land to live,
But their names and their dates I’ll never forget.

Chorus x2
